Cairo, Timbuktu, Kolkata and Brussels are all beautiful and exciting cities with unique atmosphere, architecture, and stunning historical centers. They can have several seats.

And not them including ghostcities like Pripyat, or places like West Bank considering what they are going through (surprised they havent included Gaza or Tikrit tbh)... the desperation

The ugliest are the US industrial cities like Cleveland, Phoenix, Denver, Houston, Tulsa etc.

I've been to Cairo and Brussels and I agree they are not the prettiest cities. Brussels city centre is nice but the rest is ugly as hell. I saw some tourist leaflet and it pretty much said "We know Brussels is ugly and we are proud of that"

Brisbane looks incredibly beautiful, tho, dunno how it could be No.1.
