This song is amazing and its sad that we are gona see it bomb on the charts, shes killing the songs chances from the start by releasing it to urban.

Its like her team didnt even listen to the album and its songs. Give Me Love is not even crossover, its pure dance-pop. Nobody sends this kinda of songs to urban, why would urban start playing a pure pop song like that?

Its so messed up, she has a pop album, now a pop single, and they dont even bother doing anything on mainstream radio??? Like why are you promoting everything on urban when you material is pop?

I loved it at first, but I'm already done with it. It sounds dated and the chorus is lacking the energy a track like this requires.

THIF has a really nice chorus, though. I could imagine it on pop radio much more than GML. Pop moved on from GML's sound years ago, whereas a song like THIF still has potential under the right circumstances.

And we all know how Epic is with handling singles I initially wanted THIF for the second single but there must be some reason why they went with this instead. I feel like THIF would need a bigger push and with TWO featured artists, it would be harder to promote for performances and whatnot. Maybe they're saving THIF for a VMA performance (after Give Me Love smashes)?

I think Give Me Love could easily smash in Europe/Australia too. I don't think pop radio has moved on from the sound; it's just not all over radio anymore (which is good because it'll stand out more).

Overdose went top 40 on urban and was playlisted on pop stations but it wasn't going anywhere once she got pregnant. It had nothing to do with the actual song tbh

Yep, and it actually peaked higher on urban than Like a Surgeon, Sweat, Speechless, and Gimmie Dat.

She needs to perform this at the BET Awards. Chris Brown performed Don't Wake Me Up at the 2012 BET Awards so it's possible to perform a pop song.

A little of I Bet then into Give Me Love hopefully.

Yeah the BET awards are honestly the only hope for the song to take off and get some exposure.

Once she gets a pop hit I think it'll be easier to get another one though. Just look at Meghan Trainor or Nick Jonas.
