I've just finished Episode 1, and safe to say i'm intrigued.
I don't quite understand why their have been such negative reviews for the show. It is a show about human bonding, attraction and being at one with the Self, and i think that's totally beautiful. It's something not too common in today's world, where everything is digitalised and compartmentalised, and friendships are reduced to a WiFi connection.
2 more episodes for me. I really love this. I don't get the hate from the critics at all. Is it because of the cultural diversity of the characters? Or they can't handle the strong LGBT influences and women's right/issue in this show? My straight friends made a comment that this show is for f-word only. I immediately unfriended them and deleted their phone numbers.

The critics saw the first 3 episodes and found that it didn't make much sense. It gets better as it goes along so I wish they had seen more.
The best scenes are when the senates do stuff together
Especially the epic Capehus/Sun scenes
The sex made for uncomfortable watching with my friends. Thank God it's only in the earlier episodes. I'm more into the mystery, the action and the romance.

Um, the first episode of this was terrible. The dialogue, the acting, everything. And why is everyone speaking English on such a global show? So lazy.
I have to question somebody's taste if they can't see why CRITICS don't like this, regardless of your personal opinion. It was a hot mess.
@ homophobes complaining about "too gay" though. That's the least of this show's issues.
In later episodes, it shows us that they do speak in their own language because they speak to the other Sensates. It's briefly an obstacle before the Sensates understand each other due to their connections mentally. And it's translated for us as the viewers to help understand; not to mention that little plot device I just mention gives it some credibility that we can hear it as English.
And really? English is a global language across the planet. It's not a stretch for people of many cultures to speak English.
First episodes are rarely a good way to make conclusions about a show. Critics are the guiltiest of this and it shows their ignorance.

Hell no, this way is fine! I need my eyes to pick up eveything that is happening in the scene; I can't be bothered with subtitles.

Subtitles aren't hard to read while catching what's happening. You're just not used to it.

And how does apply to the characters in the show? English is ranked 3rd in number of native speakers because of all the English-speaking territories in the world... none of which the characters are from.
They're speaking English because it's an American show and most Americans are not accustomed to subtitles and will have a difficult time adapting to them. See above!
