She has not been choosing singles this era. It's not just about the writing. You can clearly see she was paired with every "hot" producer in the industry with a goal to make hits. Half the industry has a credit on that album, several songs don't fit it at all and were clearly put on the record to be hits.

Beyoncé has become more of a celebrity than a musician this decade in the eyes of the public.

No one cared much but she lasted longer than any female star from her era in the late 90s? 18 YEARS and STILL having huge success.

So if you're praised by the media you are manufactured? As far as popstars go, there is simply NO ONE like Beyoncé. NO one sings and dances and has that stage presence. Gaga was close. Nicole Scherzinger is great too. But no one has that ability, so why is it crazy for the media to praise her for this?
There's not one popstar whose team does not do PR, does not want praise, does not do things that will help their image. Beyoncé's works so well because she has something to back it all up.

Knowles is a product. A talented product. But a product.

You're trying everything to make it seem like Beyoncé's a product who isn't involved in any of her work. Beyoncé composes, writes, performs, produces, dances - she's always involved in her own projects. She's a known perfectionist and there's nothing wrong with that. Just because she works extremely hard to make sure her projects execute well in the way that she wants to and just because she gives it all on stage to nail a performance does not make her a fake, or a product or an inauthentic popstar. If she were to be inauthentic and a product, not a soul who follows PopCulture would agree that Beyoncé's TALENTED and above all: a nice, sweet and genuine hard working woman.

Britney back in the day, but there's not necessarily anything wrong with it. All pop stars' images are manufactured (whether that be by the label or by their own creation) otherwise they wouldn't be as famous, they would be faceless.

Also how did we get almost 10 pages without mentioning Rihanna and her writing camps?

I guess Ella Fitzgerald, who never sang a song she wrote is a product too.

That doesn't have anything to do with this conversation.
And I never saw any confirmation of that, Britney obviously sang on BJ, I don't know what mess did those trashy producers they hired did but her voice is on the record. And that's exactly what Beyoncé does just goes to the studio and records. Both are stars that are manufactured. The difference is that Beyoncé has the best PR team in the industry that makes her look on top even when she's on the bottom like the 4 era. That's manufactured too.

Historically Britney.
I see the argument for Katy, but Gaga during The Fame era was also pretty manufactured

+ I find magically switching up your visual and musical style every era to be quite contrived as well.
There's no one legendary artist who does that, because that's not a sign of artistry but pop music marketing and trend forecasting.
Though she does seem to have an IDGAF attitude which releases her a bit from seeming like a product only.

At this point you're just trolling tbh. She isn't this fake robot you claim her to be. Have you watched any of her documentaries? If you paid any attention to her tours, videos, music, you could tell she's heavily involved. She just wants to do best at what she's good at. Is that unjustified? Is that wrong?

If Shes such a perfectionist, then Why wont She make full records mostly by herself Just like Taylor did with Speak Now? Does Knowles trust her own artistry Or is She afraid she would not happen if left alone?

Actually Beyoncé has a lot more money than all the rest of the pop girls. Believe me PR is very expensive and that kind of praise only a few can afford. I think she pays the media honestly, and is very smart if you ask me. She was always talented but all the sudden ''boom'' right?

She's the one who chose to release Break free as the second single even tho her team basically fought her to release something else.
And wanting hits and collaborating with hot producers doesn't make you manufactured, it makes you business savvy and smart. She wanted the hits and she got them.
And the only producers for the album are Max, Savan, Zedd and cashmere cat. I don't get your point.

Beyonce may have chose her image, but it is still a manufactured one she boxed herself in to have to constantly live up to. As opposed to Kelly Clarkson who can basically say anything in an interview, Beyonce can't, and that was of her own doing.

Just because Taylor writes a huge chunk of her songs doesn't mean she doesn't have an entire team working on and for her album. You're not making any sense. It takes more than just pen and paper to deliver an album.

Beyoncé has been heavily involved in her career since day one. She RUNS her own company. And that's why you see studies on her business. Britney has none of that and never did.
