If I think about it, Gaga better not go that route because Rih went from snatched superior weaves to dry, tragic synthetic wigs

Rated R is so much better than Loud, which in my opinion is her worst album.

I'm sure ARTPOP would pull a platinum and probably more if it was release in 2009's climate

also cute to see Loud = TD despite the enormous promo efforts and singles of the latest

We're not counting on this site, the numbers are old, but we're just using it because ATRL somehow loves it even tho they're just chart freaks like us and not an official company.

Just because they weren't huge album sellers doesn't mean they weren't main pop girls of the moment, and either way RR still outsold their albums with less single success so there really is no point to this argument.
Circus didn't sell that much, at the end of 2009 it was at 3.4 million
|
No they weren't just stop, Katy only kicked in in TD and people started calling her a main girl, and Kesha's highest album sold 3m while Rihanna's did 8m.
Rihanna went from selling 8m to 3m and she didn't sell like her peer and even britney sold more than her

So according to your logic
2009 - immense flop - 3M WW, 1 #1 => 2010 - success - 6.2M WW, 3 #1 /mutiplied by 2.1/3
So in order for Gaga to repeat that in this 'sales climate':
2013 - immense flop - 2M WW, #4 => /*2.1/3 - 20?? - success - 4M WW, 3 top 5 hits.
Yeah, I don't see it happening for her, sadly.

Not Rated R being a flop with 3M+ in sales (including PLATINUM in the US) and a GLOBAL #1, Rude Boy (as well as two other top 10s). She also won two GRAMMYS during the era for Run This Town (Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Rap Song).
ARTPOP wasn't HALF as successful as Rated R and NO, Gaga can't pull off a Loud because she refuses to work with different people and the GP is already over her.
And Bounce, just stop embarrassing yourself. Either way, 3M for an album released yearly is great and is nowhere near a flop. Just because Good Girl Gone Bad was MASSIVELY successful doesn't make Rated R a flop.

Rated R also won an AMA, was Gaga even invited to the AMAs last year?

No, Rihanna served 3 top 10 hits from Rated R including the #1 smash Rude Boy not to mention Love the Way You Lie followed that which was a gigantic smash. Rih is also preferred in nearly every way by the general public/much more relatable/wider audience. She had it all in place Loud just solidified the fact that Rihanna is a true force in the music industry.
Artpop flopped with exception of Applause and she's been out of public consciousness for a bit and that Jazz album didn't help her regain any of her audience, Rihanna wasted zero time. There's no comparison to be had here

While ARTPOP was, like lady gaga said herself, full of songs 'tailored to be hits and made for radio', and it managed to do much much worse than Rated R, despite it's sound being far more comparable to LOUD than Rated R

For the new comers:
ARTPOP is a flop because it didn't sell like BTW and she didn't sell like her peers
RR isn't even tho she went from selling 8m to 3m and she didn't sell like her peers
Oh my..

I did, they're useless. There's no comparison to be had, they're two totally different artists and GaGa is in a very different position than Rihanna was when the Rated R era was ending.
