However what is wrong with considering conversations around "Will X Factor help Cheryl"? its relevant since most of her promotion for this single will likely be through the show she is judging/mentoring for (as past history has shown us from her time on the show)

I also feel however this thread should remain open because I feel as if its a matter of time before the single will be given a radio play date.

Because then people bring Nicole once again, like "but it didn't help Nicole at all" and stans start fighting again.

Oh good notion. However in knowing Cheryl's likely promo schedule for this single, its likely there isn't a way to prevent that conversation of X Factor promo, which is how Cheryl vs. Nicole stan wars apparently happen. I do agree we should talk more about the single here and her other works in the Base. I just don't think we can prevent conversations around X Factor promo schedules for this single since Cheryl is deeply involved in the show. If Nicole keeps getting brought up by certain members that have nothing to rely back to the single, they should be warned for going off topic and let the mods decide whom to ban from this thread.

1) Tulisa released a horrible single during her X Factor era, but her first single after the successful first year on the show went #1
2) Dannii - did she even release any music during that time?
3) Kelly got a top 10 hit which would probably not happen if she hadn't performed on the show
4) Nicole DID NOT release any music while she was a judge, only Boomerang which was released a few months after her first year on the show and we all agreed that it was a weak single so it didn't work out very well. (Don't go with Your Love's bad success because it was half a year after the show was over and it would've done way better if she'd promoted it last year)
5) Cheryl is from the UK, so it's OBVIOUS the UK people would prefer their own artists and judges (tho they loved Nicole on the show, and I still can't understand her choice of not releasing an album during her successful era as a judge).

It's really silly to say that the XF didn't help Cheryl's career a lot because it DID. It helped her build an ever bigger name as an artist and once they completely fell in love with her and her music, and once she got a strong fan base, she didn't need to be on the show to have successful music (Call my name, Crazy stupid love). So it DID help and she was smart enough to use that amazing platform for her own sake and I think she made the right choice by doing so.
