Happy fell pretty hard on both sales (9-10) and airplay (4-9) this week, but its overall Hot 100 fall was softened by a gain in streaming (5-5, bulleted). I predict Pharrell will either fall to 9 or 10, if not out of the Top Ten next week. The song is declining rather quickly at all formats. It peaked pretty much everywhere at once, giving the track an exceptionally high point total for several weeks.
However, that timing of peaking everywhere at the same time will likely keep Happy from being a longevity king. If it can hold on next week in the Top Ten, and that would be all, that would make 20 weeks, an impressive total, but less than Katy Perry, One Republic, Lorde, or Avicii, all of whose hits crossed over more slowly and kept their songs on the charts longer.
