Lana is generally ****ed up but im pretty sure it's not about Lorde
she may be referring to no one. Just making up stories since sh does it regularly in interviews.
Natalia's new album was noted as very Lana-esque last year.
I don't know if Natalia has ever said anything about Lana, but both girls share the same demographic. Only Lana knows who she's talking about, though.
When did Lorde say Lana is unauthentic? just curious.
Quote:
"Lana Del Rey is always singing about being in the Hamptons or driving her Bugatti Veyron or whatever, and at the time, me and my friends were at some house party worrying how to get home because we couldn't afford a cab. This is our reality," continued Lorde.

I listen to both of these women and neither one crosses my mind while listening to the other
I don't think it makes sense for it to be Lorde. Her music does sound like Lana's, but Lorde became famous AFTER Lana did, and her very first single was Lana-esque.
By what Lana said it sounds like it was a pop star who was famous before her, sneered at her at first, then later on did the same style of music as her. Lorde doesn't fit that, because she became famous afterwards and did that kind of music frmo day 1.
it would be a bit ironic if it WERE Gaga, considering Lana was the one who first wrote "so legit" before she was even famous, criticizing gaga for changing her sound/name/style, and then going and doing the same thing just to get famous.
I know. I'm not saying it's about Gaga, I just find the possibilities more likely (mostly judging by their "feud" back in the days) but watch this be about Katy or something.
No. Katy absolutely loves Lana. I remember years ago when she posted the linked to BTD on iTunes, saying it was the album she was in love at that moment. Then she also posted this:
Two of the most respected artists, Jeff Koons and Marina Abramovic, disagree.
Right?
It's like okay, yes sure some random anonymous teenager on a pop forum knows who represents art, and what art is, and two of the most prolific and well-known contemporary artists supporting Gaga don't. An absolute deluded and hateful mess.
