Perhaps if we were going to compare Katy's best with Taylor's worst.

Regarding the amount of input to some of her songs.

"Roar". A song of empowerment, of bravery in the face of all life throws in our way, it started, according to Henry “Cirkut” Walters, as a track he concocted with Dr. Luke: “Luke and I worked up several tracks that would have a fresh sound for Katy, and one of those became ‘Roar.’ The changes are simple, only two chords really. We had melodies to the tracks – without lyrics first, just vowel sounds – and then we played the track for Max Martin, and he came up with a lot of the melodies and melodic vibe. He took the track into his land, and started recording stuff on his own. He brought down most of the melody, the top-line. Then Bonnie and Katy tweaked the melody and put lyrics to it.

So three people were working on the song for some time, before Katy had any input and started tweaking it with Bonnie McKee. I can't imagine Taylor writing her songs like that.

The plastic bag comment is not an argument. When people refer to the plastic bag lyric, they don't mean to criticize it in particular, it has come to represent the silliness/weak metaphors found in Katy's songwriting in general, not just the plastic bag lyric, so nobody's criticizing her lyrics for the "plastic bag" line alone.

Which is why I responded with Taylor's worst and stupidest lyrics too. They represent the stereotypical TS break up song. Katy's metaphors are much more broad with actual lyrical meaning that what you and most imply.

Exactly. Many people who worked with her admitted it:
(I'm not going to list them all)
Ed Sheeran said he was pretty much an editor to "Everything Has Changed" because when Taylor invited him to write with her she just played a draft version to him and asked him what he thought of it. He then changed some lyrics but the song was probably almost done anyway when he came in the process.
Dan Wilson (Treacherous) said she was one of the quickest songwriters he had ever seen. He said if something doesn't fit in the matter of seconds she has 3 other lyrics to replace what's wrong with it.
When she was working with MM and Shellback they were working on a song and then WANEGBT came to her mind. She was working on a hit and then wrote another hit during the same writing session.
I could list more but I doubt Katy fans could come up with things like that with Katy, EVEN if I do think she's a good songwriter, she's nothing compared to Taylor.
EDIT: and let's not forget how many songs she wrote in less than an hour that are hits, or at least very good songs on her albums.
