"Talent" has many meanings. I don't think Madonna is musically talented, but she's a marketing machine. Janet Jackson is not vocally talented, but her moves are second to only her brother's. Mariah Carey has a great voice but no stage presence. Etc.
Madonna writes and produces her own hits and masterpieces, and that itself is a talent. What the hell are you talking about?

Ah, of course, I knew a Madonna stan would come after me for that. OK, fine, she's a good writer. I love 'Ray of Light.' I just don't think 'Hard Candy' does much justice to her earlier work.
Afterglow, after being new to this forum and having a neutral perspective on raven, you changed my mind. Her album flopped, not just a bit, but A LOT. She should've cared,but she didn't, and no doubt she doesn't care about you either. Please move on.

And the argument continues changing no ones opinion who was already on either side. I've never listened to Raven (and don't plan on) and I'm sure many of you arguing here haven't either. Every artist appeals to someone somewhere (in this case, Afterglow ).
U people are all wrong. It was shut down not because Raven doesn't care about her music, it's because her COMPANY doesn't care.
She is signed on the the shittiest record company of all time, Hollywood. Hollywood only promotes two of their artists nowadays. Miley and Jonas Bros. They are even leaving behind their biggest hits, Hilary Duff and Aly & AJ!!!!!! Also, this company hold TCG, Queen, Ingrid Michaleson, etc. None of those artist get promotion anymore. They only focus on the ones who are giving them money at that moment and won't give a chance to the others. Aly & AJ, Hilary Duff, and Raven's album could have been HUGE hits, but they spent all of their time w/ Miley and JB.
(That's why I'm glad Ashley Tisdale is signed onto Warner Brothers, Hollywood's rival!)
