Also, the people at the cash register can actually do almost everything they say policy doesn't allow them to do. Of course there are lines we don't cross, but if you're nice and persistent, we may give in.

Speaking of maids. Some maids "pop" sheets. Which basically means, they take the sheets someone else has already slept in, pop and then straighten them out on the bed. You're laying on someone's hair, dead skin, smell, etc.
They do it with towels too. Check everything!

I'm a cashier at a grocery store. I literally do not give two ****s about my job. Though I'm a nice person, so I would never do anything bad to customers really. The opposite actually. If an item doesn't scan, instead of going to check the price which can take forever, I just put it in their bag. Free stuff. idc. Or if they notice it's not scanning, Ill just make up a bogus price that's way too low.
One time when I worked at Wal-Mart, a leash didn't have a barcode so i was like "does 5 dollars sound ok?" and they were like sure. Later the same leash came through with a barcode and it was 30 bucks. haha im such a saint

As opposed to telling you them you don't believe them?

I work at a grocery store and if you're rude to me or any of my co-workers, I'll never forget your face. I don't do anything that bad, but I won't tell you if something you're buying is going bad or when I grab any meat I'll make sure to poke a hole in it with my nails so it goes bad faster. Just stupid little things.
The other interesting thing I noticed is that customers aren't aware that if something is the wrong price they're supposed to get it for free. But if you don't say anything we'll just charge you for the regular price instead of giving it for free.
And yes on the receipt thing. It's not necessary at all.

At Wal Mart and probably most super-stores, they cannot legally stop you once you're outside the doors. Even if you run out and obviously shop lift they can't stop you (park close to the entrance though).
The store I worked at lied to the CEO or something of the western division of Wal Mart once when she came in for a walk around. We had co-workers leave their positions and work at random parts of the store when ever she would be walking by, they would rush to that section and pretend that we had enough employees for the entire short (we were around 60 short).
Don't use the family restrooms. They are cleaned the least, and its the most common places where people have sex. I've cleaned blood from heroin users, seamen, coke, other dirty needles I have no idea for what, and even period blood once.
The Lost Prevention in our stores wear regular clothes, and they'll look like normal shoppers.
But, TBH Wal Mart treats their customers better then their employees. Woooo lawd the management stories.

If a coupon is printed from a ****** printer, kroger is NOT going to take it.
If you wonder where all the baggers went and why you're stuck in line bagging groceries by yourself, thank the people who are too lazy to get to the cart corrals.
Asking a customer if they need help helps alleviate shoplifting. We totally know what you're doing if you're pushed up to the shelving units.

We have a similar policy, if someone disputes a price and it's within 20% of the real price, we change it without a second thought. It's just not worth it to call back to toys about every single nerf football and monster high doll that was put in the wrong spot.

I remember one time, I forgot to ring up a $30 belt for this guy on accident, and he came back in to pay after he noticed my mistake. I'm like, no me gusta free belt?

They should just hang up on you tbqfh. The fact that they even bother to come up with an excuse is courtesy enough.
