But Rihanna has
been doing reggae/dancehall though. It's nothing new. Music of the Sun was most reggae influenced album. Her first single wasn't some generic, pop anthem. That album was way more R&B/urban than pop.
What she's doing is not confusing at all. Even with her most pop albums, she still had songs with urban influences.
