Kanye West and 50 Cent are set to face off on American cable television network Black Entertainment Television (BET) on Tuesday (September 11), when both of their albums will hit US stores.
Their joint appearance fuels the ongoing feud in which 50 Cent has said that he'll retire from music if West's 'Graduation' outsells his 'Curtis' album in their first week of sales.
BET is playing up the event like a heavyweight fight, hiring renowned sportscaster Stuart Scott to deliver play-by-play reports and statistics about the rappers, reports the Associated Press.
Both rappers are set to perform on the show '106 & Park', but it remains to be seen whether they'll go head to head on stage.
As previously reported, Amazon announced this week that West is out-selling 'Fiddy' five to one in pre-orders.
I still don't know who's going to win. Especially if they might both buy out their own albums in fear. 50 Still has a large fan base (mostly kids) who think Kanye is boring(needs more gun talk/or he doesn't wear enough). Kanye's fans seem to be a lot more mature.
Pre-orders only count for a small percent of what the final sales will be so even though Kanye is killing it right now its too early to tell. I'm cheering on both however i'm not buying either one as this whole battle thing is a fake. It's obvious that these guys are friends and they're mainly acting out all this feud stuff to get you to buy instead of pirate.
