Eminem drop is bigger than expected. MMLP2 sold more than Recovery first week but Recovery sold more than 300k on its second week. I was rooting for him but
Well his numbers is hardly surprising. 70%+ drop is normal now for rap albums. Considering his good 2nd week drop record i was expected ~65% drop, but seems he is doing the same as other similar acts. Still I expect his 2nd week sales to rise a little and in the end selling 230K (+-10K).
Its quite correct, although there is some mistakes (as preorders are 100K instead of 125K).
But yes counting drop you mostly need to take account weekly sales what in this case will be ~150K. Usual drops for pop artists are about 65-70% what makes 45-53K. Since she have several promo spots next week compared to SNL only this week drop should be smaller. I personally expect 50-60K second week for now, but it might get both ways depending on how she will promote album (her Fame/TFM performances was good but now often they only can be described as "circus arrived in town" and that isn't really selling albums).
Went through the same numbers change thing with Katy. Same with Miley. Her numbers changed almost everyday. Gaga will be right in the pack with the others. Pop lady numbers are low compared to a few artist but are above other number overall nd in general this year. Several number ones on Billboard 200 have been 100K-180K and still got to number one. People are not excited about albums in general.
So, is the 100k from the pre-orders factored into this prediction?
yeah it's 100k from preorders and 140k first week sales, I think billboard has claimed that & I believe Duca who knows about charts confirmed it on here too.
Nnnnn my friend who works for SNL just said this week.will be one of the worse SNLs of all time and that Gaga is a mess in rehearsals... Poor Gaga

R. kelly didn't even bother showing up and hired an impersonator of him for his own concert so don't hold your breath

DWUW performance on artRave was ok but it's definitely not the worst for SNL standards while there are Lana's and Ashley's performances. I
