If we're gonna claim this as a victory, then the monsterz should probably claim Applause as a success being #1 on iTunes for a little while too because it was #1 when Roar was replaced with the Prism version and had to reclimb.

Even if Royals was still on, Walking on Air (a promo single, the third song released in just over a month by Katy) would be #2 and that would mean it reached the same peak as Applause, an anticipated lead single from a formerly huge pop star

Yes, the Applause release was the best example of karma I've ever seen. See how annoying it is when a stanbase starts getting cocky? Feel free to drag me if Katy ever flops, but until then, I'll continue to be proud of my fave's currently unmatched success
