Added Mariah's second week numbers to her total. Metallica's number is a week or 2 old and Mariah's number is missing her catalog sale sin the last 2 weeks. Anyway, according to the numbers I have, Mariah has 11k left to pass Metallica.

Updated Mariah's sales with the 3rd week sales of latest album. She's so close to passing Metallica. However, keep in mind that Metallica's number is around a month old, while Mariah's number is almost up-to-date, so even if I add Mariah's 4th week numbers to her sales, she still wouldn't have Metallica real life/on Soundscan's official list, but only on my list, because Metallica's number is missing their sales in the past 4 weeks. So I'll wait until there's another sales update for the top 5 to be sure if Mariah passed Metallica or not.

According to BB, Taylor was #50 with their update. I can't think of whom we are missing. Linda Ronstadt's sales were mostly prior to NSS, right?

^Barbra Streisand, the Rolling Stones and several others are missing. So I'll rank Taylor on my list based on her reported sales, not based on how she's ranked on the official, real Soundscan list, 'cause, as you can see, we don't know the sales of a lot of artists on the Soundscan list, and I can't include them without knowing their sales. Once Billboard reports their sales, Taylor's rank will be adjusted to match her real one (on the Soundscan list).
Taylor now ranks on my list at #45 with 24,933,000 copies sold. Next week her sales will most probably increase to 25,150,000, but I won't rank her above Johnny Cash, Led Zepplin, and Kid Rock, until the week after, when her sales increase by a significant margin, so that we know for sure that she's surpassed their reported figures on the official Soundscan list.

I am not sure if you are in the middle of an update or whatever, but Taylor is in your list twice, at 45 and 48.

I suggested R. Kelly, Boyz II Men, and Mary J. Blige -- who all have sold enough to make this list. Boody said she/he couldn't find recent #'s for them.

Edited Taylor's number to include this week's sales. I still have her below Guns N Roses 'cause their receipts are outdated, so it's safe to assume that they're still ahead of her on the actual Soundscan list.

Added Bob Dylan and Barbra Streisand to the list.
They bumped Rascal Flatts and Josh Groban out.
