Kiss my FAT ass! LOL!!! Love Tryra Banks she keeps it real. I enjoy watching her talk show, can't wait for the new season to start which is on September 10!
It's another edition of music recommendation. Let's see what I have in store for you guys.
NG's iPod Playlist/Recommendation Vol. 3
Kanye West - Flashing Lights (Feat. Dwele)
- Kanye really pushing his sound forward, teaming up one-time Slum Village collaborator Dwele for a full-orchestra track. This song caught my attention once I skimmed through Graduation. Loves it.
The Dream - Shawty Is A Ten
- Just when I thought Bed was the only good R&B song out now, "Shawty Is A Ten" (what a pathetic song title) was played on the radio and I really liked it. Not bad.. seeing he did wrote Umbrella.
Feist - My Moon My Man
- A mellow song with its potential to be an underground hit. Think Jem/Imogen Heap or Regina Spektor and you will get an idea of her vocal. Also, this background music might be familiar to some of you since it is featured in the Verizon's Chocolate Phone commercial.
Common - Break My Heart
- Definitely a stand out song from "Finding Forever". I love the lyrics, "She wasn't married, kept her ring on her pinky. She said "you know I dont be datin' rappers". I said I got my SAG card, baby I'm an actor."
Kenna - I'm Gone
- Originally, I was planning to send this song in for Kworb's song contest. The song was produced by Chad Hugo, and it's worth a listen. Can't wait for his new album "Make Sure They See My Face" in October.
KoRn - Hushabye
- I personally think this song would be perfect for a second single. Not so sure if Johnny would agreed with me lol.
David Guetta - Love Is Gone
- Techno/Electronica fan who havn't heard Love is Gone should not miss out on this. The track is pretty hot, think Darren Hayes meets Justice.
Editors - Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors
- Another UK Band, yeah whatever. The track has this sort of feel good, uplifting lines with a bass background. It's indie, and I like it.
Röyksopp - Remind Me
- This is indeed the Geico song, but there's more than just the elevator tone instrument. This song is pretty awesome once you give it a couple of spins. The video is also added below (coolest video I have seen in a damn while).
