04. Lupe Fiasco - Food & Liquor


+ Best Tracks: Hurt Me Soul, The Cool, Kick, Push, I Gotcha, Sunshine, Daydreamin' (Feat. Jill Scott), The Instrumental +

- Best Hip-Hop album of the year, yes. Even high anticipated acts like Jay-Z & The Game couldn't even touch this album. "Food & Liquor" definitely represents a new generation of hip-hip, all the tracks are great. My favorites are "Hurt Me Soul", "Kick, Push", "Sunshine" etc. There is a mainstream song like "I Gotcha" and just straight up underground hip-hop like "The Cool" & "Kick, Push". I predicted Lupe Fiasco as one of the artists to break out this year, and he definitely did. Food & Liquor is among one of his trilogy saga, and I am very excited for what's coming next for him. FNF Up!

03. Christina Aguilera - Back To Basics


+ Best Tracks: Hurt, Save Me From Myself, Mercy On Me, Candyman, Slow Down Baby +

- Best album from Xtina. I bought this album, I have no shame whatsoever. "Back To Basics" is a great pop album, Christina transforms herself into an amazing artist each time she comes out with a new album. This double disc is packed with great songs, and amazing vocals on almost every songs. The best track is definitely "Hurt", a song dedicated to her father. I mean, the lyrics & her vocal are just insane, I really love it. Other songs like "Save Me From Myself" and "Mercy On Me" also back me up on the amazing vocals part. Fun songs like "Candyman" and "Slow Down Baby" really make this album a whole. Just one of the best of 2006, period.

I wish Christina made one flawless disc out of those two.
Much like RHCP - there is a masterpiece hidden in a lot of clutter.

Still, a great album though.

The OH-SHNAP LIST! of 2006!

In no order here are the songs that missed the top 30, either by me forgetting about them or the songs were released at the end of the year.


30 Seconds To Mars - The Kill - I love this band, Jared Leto kicks ass and so does this song.


Beyonce - Listen - Didn't like the song until the beginning of December, although it's a great ballad from her.


Avant Feat. Nicole Scherzinger - Lie About Us - Great R&B song, Avant's album is such an underrated album. Too bad I liked this song for only a few months.


Taking Back Sunday - MakeDamnSure - This was supposed to make the list, but got knock off by Evanescence - Call Me When You're Sober.


Incubus - Anna Molly - Love this song, but too bad it was released at the end of the year. Can't wait for "Dig" video though.


Ludacris Feat. Mary J. Blige - Runaway Love - Possibly Ludacris best single since his "Stand Up" era. The message on this song was just unbelievably potent.


Ciara - Promise - Best Ciara single, but yea this came out at the end of the year. I'm surprised Ciara looks amazing than ever with her new album out.


John Mayer - Waiting On The World To Change - This song is Oh Sh-nap. I totally forgot about this song. Oh well, I guess it'll fits right in the Oh Sh-nap list.


Omarion - Ice Box - Best Omarion single, Timbaland save this song with the amazing beat, and it's so catchy to listen to.


The Game - It's Okay (One Blood) - The Game is back with this single, it's a good song but just not good enough for top 30.


T.I. - What You Know - Awesome track. T.I. really gained attention from the audience with this single, but um.. yeah.. Oh-SHNAP!


The Killers - When You Were Young - I just got into this song like last month, but I have to give it up for the video. It's just so different, I love it.


Gym Class Heroes - Cupid's Chokehold - Take a look at my girlfriend! Cause she's the only one I've got! <333 They really took this sampling and made it their own. Love the track.


Nas - Hip-Hop Is Dead - I wasn't feeling this at first, but now it's amazing. Who would have though Will.I.Am produced this? I mean the same guy who produced Fergalicious.
