Use some common sense. Obviously Chris had bad controversy - Frank's tumblr letter was good as is.

Something like Madonna's interview about Gaga gave her controversy - which factored into her 350k+ debut atop the charts

Probably because it, like most R&B albums, wasn't released in most countries to chart well internationally.

I mentioned her because we were talking about controversy. You brought up Chris' drama with Rihanna, which I said that's obviously the type that can kill an artist's career.
