It is what it is. The music, artists, and songs that are categorized as "EDM" are what fit and work together best. The term creates a diverse, yet parallel genre of music that can be put together as one.

Actually the The Rih fan is correct. Grimes and The Knife are not EDM at all. EDM is club music. They are more akin to ''IDM'' which itself is a stretch...
