I like Bangarang a lot. That's weird coming from a person who doesn't like Skrillex's music very much.
Great graphics sir.

I think I might go so Life of Pi, your description of the visuals sounds amazing.

Yep, Skrillex videos are amazing! We still have one more on the list!
You should go see it, it's really amazing.

I haven't seen most of the movies and music videos you talked about, but your descriptions were great and hence I understood why they made your list
|
Haha thanks! Hope you have the chance to check them.

Oh man, I wouldn't call Chronicle my favorite movie of the year, but its definitely the biggest surprise of the year. I was completely into it all the way through and amazed at the creative uses of the found footage format. Just a really well done movie.
|
Yeah, I watched it with a friend and she left out really upset because it was "cheap", but i was fascinated haha. It was totally unexpected.

I think we've got less great movies, but in that short list, they were tons better than in 2012, so I kinda agree with you.

DAY 7: BEST 100
I really appreciate all of your comments! Thank you so much. So today for the first time we're having the first block of the BEST 100. Enjoy!
100-91
So finally we are entering with the music part. My list consists mainly of pop, so y'all are going to know the majority of the artists. I only count singles wich music videos were released between November 1st, 2011 and December 1st, 2012. There are many exceptions haha, like those songs which were hits this year, even if they were released during 2011, I counted them as 2012. So enough of words, here are the songs:

First appearance of Katy. I played this song many
times that i didn't realized that I don't like it as much
as her other singles. The video is kinda good, but I
definitely love her other stuff more, talking about both
song and video. This was like my least favorite single
from her Teenage Dream era. Congrats Katy for
opening the countdown! |

So I started to listen to Skrillex's music till this year,
and I became addicted. "Breakn' a Sweat" was no
exception as it is incredible, and the "strange" collab
with The Doors makes it even better. That Jim
quote is amusing. The video is kinda weird, could
be better if it had a stronger story, just as his other
stuff. There's more from Skrillex to come! |

Their music is described as something in between
rock and electronic, but it's really slow and calm, that
is extremely relaxing and kinda depressing. That's
why I liked them. Almost listened to their whole
album, and Columbus is the standout track from it.
Don't know if you're into this kind of music, but I
would recommend it for those who are on a
pressure and need to relaaax.... |

"1997" is funny (both video and song), and has a
lot of sounds from like different music stages, it has
this vintage feeling that made me fall in love for it.
They recently released a new single and I'm sure
that plenty of their songs sounds with this oldie
vibe. |

I heard it because it was #1 in the UK, and I was
pretty impressed, specially because the mix of
dubstep and the saxophones. But it got old
fast for me, no longer till this radio station started
to play it and I felt the love again for it. Reminds
me of my summer vacations. |

When they announced that they were going to
supposedly change their sounds, I was really
interested to hear what they were going to bring for
this new era. And even if it was something different
from what they've done, I wasn't that impressed, but
still liked it. Not that much as their previous songs.
I wish the song was shorter, and I loved that guitar/
bass solo (?) haha don't know really the name of it. |

Another band returning to the scene. I'm not a fan of
Matchbox Twenty, but I've liked some of their previous
songs, so decided to check this one. Catchy, pop/rock
song, but never leaving the style that they have. I
guess I could consider it a good return. |

It was kinda hard to listen to this song at first and to
get into it; I finally surrendered and let it die. But when
it was all over the radio, and used in "Perks", I found
myself listening to it again. It is truly awesome, though
I still think that the chorus is kinda weak, like if you,
after those verses and lyrics, are expecting something
more "stronger". The video is great! |

You may hate it, or you may love it, but y'all can't
deny that this sh1t is catchy as hell. Or either you are
"repeating" the lyrics (because in reality you're just
saying NOTHING), or you're trying to dance the
already iconic choreography. It had to be here. |

After "Little Talks" broke-through, I decided to check
more from their music and they surprised me. They
have beautiful songs, and "Mountain Sound" is proof
of it. it's happy, with this kind of "country-side" vibe. I
don't know, but I feel like if I'm far away from the city
when I listen this song. The girl is really cute too!

Hey, sorry I haven't commented on your year-end yet. Amazing graphics, and I really enjoyed your movies and app countdowns. My favs from the movies list would probably be Hugo, Wreck-It Ralph and The Avengers. I like your write-ups! Very well done. And from this most recent music set, I like "The One Who Got Away" and "Gangnam Style."
Good stuff! Looking forward to the rest.

The One That Got Away And it's true, even though I really like TOTGA, I prefer most of her other singles
And what you wrote about Gangnam Style is so true! I hated it and I'm still not a fan of the song, but it's definitely catchy as hell... And the dance moves are really funny
