Not to suggest Rihanna is the "princess of pop", but she has sold some 27-30 million albums worldwide in a short period of time in a period where album sales are generally low, dominates the single charts, is received well by critics and award shows, is followed excessively by the media, and is the most popular artist in Music Videos of her era.

There's a lot more than "digital single sales" to Rihanna's success.

No no no. Talk That Talk era is by far her worst in terms of performance. Even the album was horrible.

Britney may not be the blueprint for the title (or as you might call her) but she's still the princess of pop. The others are trying to dethrone her but at least they try.
