One of those albums was released during Black Friday with a 10 week+ #1 while the other was released in Q1 with minimal promotion....

The fact that people don't bother to buy Rihanna's album is not something you should brag about. 
Downloading illegal music =/= wanting to buy it.

I'm sure Celine's one song was the reason 30 million people bought a whole album (when they could've just bought the single instead, which many did), not the fact that it came from the highest grossing movie of all time (at that point). Nobody in the record industry (RIAA, IFPI) will count the soundtrack towards Celine's sales because you need to have sung at least half the songs on a soundtrack in order for it to be your album. And if we are using the Titanic soundtrack to put Celine past 200m albums (which she still wouldn't even come close to even if it was included) how many singles has she sold to put her at that 200 mil records figure? By your logic she's only sold >5 million singles.

Celine has sold over 170 Million albums, so yes if Titanic was included that would be over 200 Million, correct? I'm not understanding how she wouldn't even come close, because basic math says otherwise  .
And no one bought that album for those instrumentals  ....

The Beatles and Elvis come to mind. Wikipedia reports their certified RECORD sales at 250M and 203.3M, respectively. A good piece of that should be definitely 100M albums.
