I doubt the general public would get any more ideas being asked "What do you think about Beyonce's/ Taylor Swift's/ Jay-Z's performance at the 2009 VMA?" than "Do you remember that time when Lady Gaga bleeding on stage?"

Most people agree Paparazzi and this performance were amazing. They are also from 3 years ago. Focus on the now. Everyone has already talked about this stuff...
The bottom line is it was a great performance, one that will be watched (and loved) YEARS from now on Youtube, etc. It will last. She sounded amazing, looked amazing, and did everything we've come to expect of her performance-wise. People won't care about Taylor Swift getting intercepted by Kanye West thirty years from now... I'm sure people will look back at past VMA performances (and past Gaga ones) and cite the Paparazzi one as something very special.
Taylor Swift? I love her to death but NO ONE remembered her performance. It's all about the incident.
If you Google "Beyonce VMA 2009", the first suggestion is about her sharing the moment with Taylor on stage. Do the same to Lady Gaga and her performance is the first suggestion.

None of this changes the fact that no media publications talked about Gaga's performance that year. It was all about the Kanye/Taylor/Beyonce debacle. Performance wise Janet stole the night with the Lil Mama/Jay-Z thing also getting commented on by Black networks in the black community. There really is nothing else to be said here. You live in a fantasy world if you think people were pressed on that performance when no one talked about it after the show ended.

most memorable performance ive seen, the blood and stuff, i mean i dont really like her just some songs, but that performance was epic, her best performance ever tbh
