#50 The Bride
Average: 6.65
Highest Score: 9.25 (Ace Reject)
Lowest Score: 2 (Great Username)
The third song off of Dirty Projector’s Bitte Orca, The Bride is their first song to leave
the countdown, and the first song in the Top 50! Woot woot!
Will we see each band tonight, or will the Grizzly Bear spree continue?

Intro is a 9. I'm talking about Fantasy (it's longer, but it's just less of a song than the others....).
The Bride is an 8, there are weaker songs on Bitte Orca.

Where is that one xx track that was like a 1:30 interlude? That should be out.

Will it be their first one out?

#49 Fine For Now
Average: 6.68
Highest Score: 8.5 (madonnas)
Lowest Score: 2 (Great Username)
This is Grizzly Bear’s third song to exit this rate. I enjoyed this one. This is the
last 6 of the countdown
“This song has actually stewed for ages and ages. Originally came about while
we were sleeping on someone's floor a few years ago in Toronto. The guy we
stayed with had a guitar that was tuned really strangely, I think accidentally, and
I sat around one morning on his porch and found parts of the song. I played
around with it for ages but it didn't work until I sat down with Ed upstate and he
helped flesh out the melody and lyrics and harmonies.” – Daniel Rossen

I'm having trouble keeping a lot of these songs straight...
Definitely disappointed to see "Hold Still" out. It's so beautifully calm; it feels really good to listen to.
"The Bride" was my lowest score from the Dirty Projectors. It's interesting, but it's all over the place.

#48 Taste
Average: 7.03
Highest Score: 10 (Praise Mariallah, @michael.)
Lowest Score: 3 (Great Username)
With song 48, we see the elimination of the first Animal Collective, the first song that received a ten,
and the first song that that has an average above 7! It’s all the same song, if you didn’t catch that.
And that song, Taste, is the eighth song off of Animal Collective’s eighth studio album Merriweather
Post Pavillion.

Taste is really good yall! It's not one of the best on the album though, so I'm fine. As long as Lion in a Coma/My Girls/Brothersport/Summertime Clothes stay safe I won't complain about AnCo's eliminations.

#47 Cheerleader
Average: 7.05
Highest Score: 10 (Praise Mariallah)
Lowest Score: 2 (Great Username)
Back to Grizzly Bear! With this elimination, 1/3 of their tracks have been
elimination. For some reason I felt that Grizzly Bear had so many tracks,
when they only really had 12. The xx and Animal Collective had 11, Phoenix
had 10, and Dirty Projectors had 9.
Edward Droste on the track;
“Imagine me in a cheerleader outfit, that would be chill.”

#46 Love Like a Sunset, Pt. II
Average: 7.08
Highest Score: 10 (Ace Reject)
Lowest Score: 3 (MP2K)
Boom. Phoenix is no longer immune. This short little song is actually quite pleasant, I
really enjoyed it, it provides a nice break from the rest of the album. Also, congrats on
MP2K for snatching the ‘Lowest Score Weave’ from the talons of Great Username.
With this elimination, only the xx are safe. Will they make an appearance tonight?

St. Vincent's Cheerleader >> Grizzly Bear's
But it's still a good song....
EDIT: I'm okay with Pt. II leaving. It's cool but that's it. There are worse songs on the album though.

Wow you're going fast.
I'm glad Dory and Hold Still were the first gone, they were my two least favorites in the rate.
Taste can go, it was a seven. Not the best or worst. I am a little upset about The Bride going, however. That was a solid eight. Seeing any Dirty Projectors song go is sad because they only have nine and they are all good.
I really don't see how you can give zeros in this rate. I couldn't give lower than a five.

#45 All We Ask
Average: 7.10
Highest Score: 10 (Gui Blackout)
Lowest Score: 1 (Great Username)
“Bear had originally done this song on piano with Ed, and it was very sombre and
beautiful with a completely different set of darker chords. I, for some reason, decided
to flip it around, do it on guitar and make the whole chord progression much happier,
removing most of the minor chords. I still really love the original though. I think it will
be included as a b-side in some territories.” – Daniel Rossen

Ooh, "Taste"! I'm really digging it on this listen. I probably could have bumped up its score by a point.

NOOOOO!!! Not "Love Like a Sunset, Pt. II"! That one hurts a little. It's so beautiful; short and sweet, but it makes a statement. I gave it a 9.5, but I should have just gone with a 10.
