The Teenage Dream era was such a journey. As a non Katy stan, I've gone from liking her when she wasnt that much of a threat with California Gurls & Teenage Dream to being pressed cos her singles were outperforming my favs by miles and hating her, but she's really won me over and Wide Awake is just such a perfect close to the two years.
I loved the symbolism of the Prince Charming part. The garden is lavish and beautiful, and he seems perfect too except his fingers are crossed behind his back.
I can't believe the Teenage Dream era is over, this era has been such a pleasure for us Katy Kats and Katy herself, Wide Awake is the perfect way to end an era that not only brought her worldwide success and a huge fan base, it also stated her as one of the most important pop stars in the world.
