i maaayyy be a tad bit pressed but really it's just because when the nominations came out everyone was like "omgomgomg 21 should so get it because Adele's voice is so good and Adele *blahblahblah*" and it irritated me cause they bitchslapped me every time i tried to say that 21 was just generic ******** written in pretty words and fancy themes like defying the laws of physics.

Alright, since AF is clearly in second place now, I'd like this question answered as well: Can one of the 17 voters give me a NON-GAGA reason as to why The Suburbs did not deserve AOTY? Even I'm curious now.

the Grammys nominate things that have high to moderate sales and recognition in all categories, which is why some argue that there is nothing professional about them. it's actually a lot more professional than you think. yes they use albums sales in the decision making process, but only for nominations. when it comes down to deciding who wins, they get professionals in the fields of producing, singing, songwriting, like professionals in every aspect of the world of music. they judge the quality of the albums and songs from the nominations, which is based solely on sales and popularity (artist wise).
