An album can sell 10 million and no will remember it if doesn't have any hits on it.
So are most Country, Rock, Rap and R&B artists irrevelant? Kenny Chesney doesn't have Top 10 hit singles but grossed 84 million in tour sales which is more than what most of the other pop girls could hope for. Does that mean Kenny Chesney or other huge Country stars who are known for their big album and tour sales aren't remembered?
Born This Way will never be forgotten because of the 0.99c Amazon deal and the GIGANTIC flops Judas & Marry the Knight.
Judas flopped in the US but it did pretty decently WW. Judas and Y&I both have done about 2.5m WW, and Y&I was a moderate hit here. The lead single that broke a bunch of records help keep it in mind too.
The answer to the question is obviously either FF or 4. 4 has sold a little more but had virtually no hits to remind people she had a new album out.
TTT has sold more than 4 and had a massive smash hit as the lead single. It'll be more remembered than 4.
But didn't some of you Britney stans just say this wasn't about sales? And what else memorable came from the TTT album/era but WFL? An album having ONE big hit makes it memorable?
Talk That Talk, solely because I voted for Loud, thinking that was released last year. I already forgot about it
4 is timeless, Born This Way will be remembered because of it's huge opening and the Amazon controversy. And 21, well, that's just the biggest album of our generation.
4 easily. I mean did any of the singles even get radio play?
maybe if u stepped out of the brit bubble u will see that lot has been #1 on the r&b charts for seven weeks i think. oh and dont forget about the dance/club charts. but hey im sure u only care about the hot 100
