That is an extremely over simplified definition of pop music, and not really all that accurate to be honest. There are lots of acts out there that aren't popular or mainstream that make PURE pop music, it's more about the sound of it. On the other side, there are lots of popular acts that make music in different genres, be it rock or country or rap....surely you aren't going to say those artists are making pop music simply because they are popular?
Right. The point is that even if Adele were a pop singer, she still wouldn't be a popstar.
Well, at least it was an improvement compared to the score 'One of the Boys' got.
Which I don't get ....why is One of the Boys score worse than that of Teenage Dream? Although Teenage Dream is a better "jam" album than One of the Boys, I think One of the Boys is better because it isn't so ridiculously mainstream.

It has been proved countless times that the more reviews they are the more your score goes down.
The 1st reviewers ae generally the ones who appreciate your work.

Exactly. Madonna originally started at 77, she was at 66 yesterday, and she's at 64 now.

Only the link was updated in early February. The score was added last December.
Of course you call it 'local', since Britney has always been ignored at the Grammys. Yet I've seen you fly around the forum bragging about Justin's Grammys. Hypocrite. And Duca, if you're really trying to use critical success to keep Britney in the trinity, you might as well look at the amount of awards Gaga and Beyonce have won in the last couple of years compared to Britney. Rihanna or Adele take her place when it comes to that.
I really don't wanna drag you pika but Britney is always snubbed at the Grammys and critics are always late on applauding her work. In The Zone & Blackout were two of the most important recordings of last decade. No need for a Grammy when everybody is applauding your recordings. Both weren't that well received when it was released but time told us and the critics how important and amazing these 2 Britney albums are. Britney is more of a forgotten now, acclaim later type of girl. She never gets the credit initially.. It comes after. Which is kinda sad.
No matter if Adele is counted as a popstar or not, MDNA is still left in the dust.
A score in the upper 60s is pretty good for a pop album and I’m genuinely surprised ‘MDNA’ didn’t even manage to stay there. I expected her to much do better. Lower 70s at worst. She's Madonna. She's hardly a typical popstar and her music is not typical pop, even this era.

Looking at those scores, none of them are anything to write home about. Critics must really dislike female pop stars if 73 is the highest. This wasn't always the case, though.
