I'll agree with you there when you say her belts aren't as effortless as they used to be. The energy may not be where it used to be, but bitch has aged 10 years so obviously her vocal chords have slightly weakened but that's not to say that her belts have gotten weaker. Her voice has evolved very gracefully with the perfect amount of raspiness that basically adds soul to whatever she's singing. Too early to tell with Adele (even though she's already had to have vocal surgery) but between Kelly and Christina, I think Kelly's voice has/will age better.

Stronger is a very different song than Fighter.


Copying singing styles? YES if and only if she is straining, missing out notes live, damaging vocals and over-singing.

But Kelly has never done those so no.

Though I also like Kelly and admittedly think she's a good vocalist, there's nothing really special about her voice. She's the same with Beyonce. Both are just trained vocalists. I always prefer naturally gifted vocalists like Christina. Anyone can learn and improve his/her vocal technique but not everyone is gifted with a golden voice.

Meh, leave that VoiceXtina alone. It's just pressed Kelly has been able to come back to the top from the bottom with her recent efforts while the only musically relevant thing Christina has done is to sing in the background with Maroon 5. Let VoiceXtina cling onto some kind of hope that Christina will be relevant again cuz she should. She does have an excellent voice. Either way, Kelly's talent is undeniable and ATRL has good enough sene to appreciate this.

So you like someone with natural ability but absolutely NO training as opposed to someone who doesn;t have as much natural ability but still is a better vocalist because she worked hard to train her voice? okay...
