Oh I don't mind if an "artist" only contribution to their album is their voice, BUT I just find interesting that she wants it to be all about the music she doesn't create.

why does that matter....all that matters that she co-worte 6 songs on the album and produced I believe 4 of them. And what else should it be about if not about the music?? obviously she wants the music to speak for itself and she has ALWAYS wanted the music to be a success in and of itself which can only be possible if people can actually focus on the music.

Her image is a gimmick and manufactured. Her hair colour fits with whatever image she is going for the next 12 months.
I specifically put 'look' in quataions because I wasn't and neither was rihanna speaking of her attire....the subject at hand is her hair and if you'd at least read the article you would know that....i mean damn did you not see everyone talking about red hair
