Rebecca Ferguson: "claims my skin is lighter are just silly"
Quote:
The X Factor runner-up, whose father is Jamaican, said she was ''obviously mixed race'' and ''not trying to be anything I'm not''.
The 25-year-old sparked a fuss when pictures showed her looking considerably paler than usual.
But today she said the camera flash had made her skin look whiter.
She said: ''To be honest, it was just the flash when the photographer lit the pictures.
''I think it was really silly because I'm mixed race - my dad is Jamaican.
''I'm very proud of my roots and I would never try not to be who I am.
''When I read it, I just thought 'You must have been really bored when you wrote that article, and not had anything', because I'm not trying to be anything I'm not. I'm quite clearly mixed race.''
It's not a leak, because it's out in Ireland already and nobody wants to share/ doesn't care obviously. You'll be able to download it tonight at the earliest. And if they can't help you out on Ukmix and Afterld, they won't surely help you out here.
In other news, Nothing's Real But Love falls from #10 to #30 in it's second week.

The Telegraph gave the album 5 out of 5 stars. They said: There is nothing about this record I don’t like. After 12 years, reality TV has finally turned out someone who not only has the hallmarks of a real star, but is also an artist in her own right.[12] Digital Spy gave the album 5 stars out of 5 stars. They said: Fortunately, it would seem the best has been saved for last. She may have been branded "the shy one" on last year's show, but there's plenty of evidence here to suggest she won't take any crap (she insisted on co-writing each of the album's ten tracks)." [13] Trash Lounge gave the album 5 stars out of 5 stars. They said: "Heaven, despite its lack of potential “big hit singles”, is soulful, heartfelt and utterly breathtaking. She won’t achieve the sales figures managed by her more youth-friendly predecessors Olly Murs and JLS, but in terms of artistic ability Ferguson could be the best talent show discovery since… ever?"[14]
True true. I see her as being an albums artist. I can't believe how good UK music is though. I'm so into it, more so than the US even! Very interesting.
Then you should post in here more often, maybe we'll even make it to page 10 before the album comes out.
We almost did it.
The album is all sorts of epic. Like I said earlier, this is probably the best debut album I ever heard. Each song sounds like an instant classic to me.
