Yea I understand that; but biasness aside, have you watched the jeremy video to make that assumption? The awards are based on the video, not the song, and the video is pretty much epic from start to finish...so if you've never watched it id advise you to.

Anyways...I really think VOTY will unfortunately go to Katy Perry...looking at it even more, butI mean, the past four winners would then be female pop solo acts, I think MTV is gonna throw a curve ball and reward a different winner.

Smasing Pumpkins' Tonight Tonight is one of the best music video ever made. if this video didnt exist, my chemical romance and their 'black parade' wouldnt exist.

i miss the day when music video was still interesting and requires real effort. not random scenes. hope this year katy will win. she really deserves it.

The VMA's didn't agree. But you can never know with MTV. The fact that Beyoncé didn't win Best Female Video but she did win Video Of The Year is just stupid.

Since the awards are fan voted you can't expect things to be logical like that, and imo while Single Ladies was the VOTY due to the buzz it had the other categories are more technical, and I think Womanizer was technically a better video, despite not being as big.

Edit: I forgot that YBWM won Best Female, but my point still stands for Best Pop

If MTV is legit and sticks with the votes and if any of the current online polls are any indication, Britney and Gaga will be the only females taking home awards because they're the ones with the biggest fanbases. However, I feel that Gaga is at a point in her career where she wouldn't show up unless she was performing or winning some kind of award and I'm sure MTV will do whatever they can to get her to come, even if that means making up one of those awards like "Icon of this generation." After all, Gaga did say that she likes to win, 'cause when she doesn't, she's just "another bitch in a dress."
