Shakira Division sent the final eight stars forward into the next stage of our tournament. In a notable first,
#1 Shakira had a unanimous victory over #16 Miley Cyrus, a feat not previously accomplished in this game. Pop star rivals
#2 Britney Spears and
#6 Christina Aguilera both made easy work of their competition, as did
#8 Jake Gyllenhaal. However, top seeds #3 Zac Efron, #4 Chris Brown and #5 Usher all suffered huge losses--against cable television hottie
#14 Matthew Bomer, button-cute
#13 Hayden Panattiere, and the much desired
#12 Angelina Jolie, respectively. In our closest match-up,
#7 Nicki Minaj barely beat fellow music newbie #10 Christina Perri to advance.
