Katy's label has proven themselves to be smart yet again.

Because of E.T. being a fourth single, it's likely that it will not perform as good as the first three singles. But they are here for another #1 so they released a remix version to form as the official single release, with no album out to hold it sales back, it can potentially go #1 with promotion (Which I'm sure she has plenty lined up), a music video (Which is coming out soon) and radio support (Which has been supportive of her this era.)

I say she can do it.

What's so life-invading and privacy stealing is there about interviews? If she doesn't feel comfortable to answer a question, she can always say so.

Forget promoting the single, if she won't go out there and show her face to the world and making people fall in love with her, she'll be going to lose her popularity.

GaGa's bar isn't as strong anymore. Still lengthy, but easier to overcome within a few days/week. Clearly with both of Cee Lo songs combined, very close to taking her off the top.

As for Britney, the song needs promotion to see any more significant rise. It just can't catch on for the general buyers it seems. It'll still get some performances though. For the future though, "I Wanna Go" sounds promising as a 2nd single.
