Me Too is okay but easily Meghan's weakest single (from both the era and overall.)
Hymn for the Weekend, Hide Away, Never Forget You All bops!
Scars to Your Beautiful is super positive and has a lovely message
Me Too, Never Forget You, Hide Away are jams! and I love Scars To Your Beautiful it was my favorite song from the album! but I'm not sure about that music video...
30 - this has a great anthemic production that's what makes it stand apart imo.
29 - agree with your thoughts here, I prefer it to No
28 - meh, kinda boring
27 - catchy, but didn't really stick with me
26 - def one of the best Coldplay songs this decade
I like Closer, Faded, Heathens, and a little bit of IHUILU too.
#25: "Something In The Way You Move"
Ellie Goulding
I was a massive fan of "Halcyon", but when On My Mind was released, I got a bit worried. It felt like Ellie's entire identity had been stripped away and we were left with an uninteresting, bland pop song, and I was hoping that this wouldn't be the case with the entirety of "Delirium". Luckily, SITWYM came out soon afterwards to assure me that Ellie would still be releasing great songs. This is such an infectious, enjoyable pop song that fits right up Ellie's alley. The production is slick, the chorus is catchy and the verses are exciting. But most importantly, this song feels distinctly Ellie, and it managed to reignite the passion I had felt towards Ellie in her previous era.
There was quite a long period of time where I had known of MØ, but with the exception of her vocals on the excellent "Lean On", nothing I had heard by her had really captured me. She was an artist I wanted to like, but didn't. Then came Final Song to give me the exact song I was looking for. The production fits MØ's voice perfectly, and every single part of this song manages to capture my attention. The flowing verses, the catchy and building pre-chorus and the great breakdown all come together for an incredible result, making Final Song one of the songs I love listening to from start to finish.
