What a patronizing post. If you think this place is so terrible why are you writing long ass passages comparing a fading pop star to a critically acclaimed singer-songwriter?

That would be your problem, not mine.
Don't believe I compared anyone either, it's just an example. Adele, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé (last two albums), Rihanna (last album), Lady Gaga, and many other artists who aren't recognised on this forum, co-write and co-produce records that are from them, as people, and not a team of industry executives who employ others to do the work for them. This is what Lady Gaga is referring to when she says they recorded it alone in one room. Not the case with a lot of "artists." You can tell because these artists are given credit for their work and likewise awarded rightly so, with Grammys. This is common sense.
However, increasingly on this forum, it seems the charts dictate what music is "not good" because it isn't successful. My point is that from a community of people who seem to love the music, they clearly don't appreciate it when it's authentic. Even when the success and acclaim of the artists who contribute greatly to our hobby, aren't given the same treatment on the charts. This year alone, Beyoncé, Rihanna and Gaga have been mocked for their projects, and for what? A chart system? Rarely is an opinion posted without a stat attached to the persons reasoning. If you don't like it, then say so. There's no justification for the opinion because "she's a flop." Why do you see music with eyes and not listen with ears?
