I guess I'll post entries tomorrow morning, so that people can submit late. To be frank thirteen people isn't really enough to play with, especially if we're going to do the format we've always done with five finalists and three winners. Hopefully at least three more people will send. Sorry for being so anal about this but I'm really determined to make this game ****ing work.
So, in total 15 people submitted. I was planning on 18-20 people submitting and having 16-18 people after a double elimination but this isn't so bad. Right now, what we could do is either have no elimination or have a single elimination and have one less double elimination in a later round. If there is no elimination, there will be a special albeit less exciting reward for the Golden Trinity. Let me know what you think should happen! I want to do what everyone else thinks is best. Keep in mind that probably not everyone will submit for next round, either.
If you haven't submitted yet and still want to, please submit. Just this once because I haven't outlined clear rules about being late I won't penalize you. (Normally if you're late I'll move you move a couple spots in rankings, you won't be automatically eliminated.)
Here are the entries! Woooooooo!

Cheap Dirty Motel
What better song to relate this scene to than the iconic "Take It Off" by queen Kesha.
"There's a place downtown where the freaks all come around, it's a whole in the wall it's a dirty free for all"
"Talking Body" reminds me of going to a motel to do the deed because that's all you want to do, sort of like a Grindr date.
I chose "Here" as my final song since it's about being somewhere that one wouldn't want to be.

It's...strange. I had dinner with my family where we talked about out upcoming vacation to the Bahamas, took a quick shower, brushed my teeth, changed into my pajamas, then went to sleep. It felt like a typical night for me. However, when I woke up, I wasn't in my bed. I looked to be in this waste land filled with so many old items that looked like nobody used anymore - old television sets, car parts, computer towers, the blogs section - it felt like I was suddenly the sole survivor in a post-apocalyptic world...that is, until I met Ruth. They noticed me from a distance and decided to come over to me.
"Hello...?" they asked nervously. "Can you talk?" I replied with a yes, and asked where I was. They went on to explain that we were in Neverland and that she was running from Captain Hook. They've obviously gone insane from being in whatever this place is.
We walked around for a while, talking generally. I avoided all mentions of Peter Pan because I didn't feel like humoring
Ruth. However, we did run into a real threat - it was a gang! It consisted of 6 members who were surprisingly good looking
for being hardened criminals in a post-apocalyptic wasteland! "Oh no, it's Captain Hook's lackies!" Ruth screamed. Even though they were obviously ready to attack us, I still couldn't help but roll my eyes at her delusion.
Without much notice, the leader of the group let out a scream. "WARRRRIOR!" and they all came running towards Ruth and me. We ran away, and they gave chase until, get this, ACTUALLY CAPTAIN HOOK came and kidnapped us. I thought Ruth was crazy this whole time, but I guess not.
Anyway, we were in this prison that looked just as warn down and void of life as the rest of this place. Captain Hook started talking to us from behind the bars we were in.
"So, do you guys know why you are here?" Captain Hook questioned us. Ruth, of course, in their delusional world, thought it was because they were in Neverland and Captain Hook was a part of their perfect story book or something, but he laughed in her face and said to try again. I asked if he was going to kill us, and surprisingly, he said no. He then changed the question - "Do you even know where you are?" I honestly didn't, so i just shook my head.
"You're in the junkyard!" Captain Hook said, "Where the people nobody neither wanted nor asked for go. Tell me, didn't this...thing get on your nerves boy?" he said to me. The thing, I suppose, was Ruth. I said yes without hesitation. I asked what he was doing here, since a real-life Captain Hook is actually cool. "Well, you see..." He said, before taking off his mask...
"I'm actually Justin Bieber!" he proclaimed before winking at us. "Anyway, the reason I kidnapped you is because I wanted some company, and I didn't think anyone would willingly be friends with me, even in this junk yard." I wanted to say he had a point, but I low-key thought he would kill me if I did. "I managed to find wifi here, by the way." He stated, and he gave us both a tablet to use. The first thing I did was write this.

Yes, this is the pits trinity. Deal with it.

October 24, 1929. I remember that day vividly. Waking up with a sense of dread, staring outside to witness angry people flooding the streets. I already knew what had happened - The economy had fallen apart.
Honestly, the stock market had been in a fragile state for a while now, but I tried to stay optimistic ... I believed that perhaps the predictions were wrong, the statistics were wrong. How could I be so foolish?
Rain. I used to love rain, back when I could appreciate it from indoors. It's just not as pleasant these days, now that I'm living in this crudely built shack, with only a metal roof to shield myself from the downpour.
I watch as a few children come into view. They jump into puddles and dance in the rain, running around without a care in the world. That's the interesting thing about children - sometimes they find joy even in the darkest of times.
Perhaps I've been thinking about this the wrong way. Although the shattered economy is a serious matter, pessimism won't get me anywhere. Maybe I could learn to dance in the rain. Smile when I have no business smiling.
I notice that the rain had stopped while I was deep in thought. I step outside to see that the sky is blue once more. And I can't tell if it's just my imagination, but I can see a faint rainbow gracing the sky.
What if everyone on Earth was able to live their lives smiling all the time? That's what everyone wants in the future right, to be happy? Maybe in the far future a thousand years from now everyone will have put all of their differences aside and actually live in harmony. In this particular suburb they have. In this area, everything is clean, chic and modernistic (think the stereotypical image of what people in the sixties thought the future was). The 3000s, the era of Progress and Harmony of Human Happy.
Suburbs can be full of weird, wacky and wonderful people, and this song essentially captures that. Here we can see someone whimsically musing about the people she finds around her suburb such as Lucy and her ever changing face, Joe and his jumping hair, Kate the insomniac and Jimmy who seems allergic to pineapple.
This song represents the more nocturnal aspects of the suburbs. The first half of the song can represent the quieter, rural suburbia whilst the second half of the song describes the more busy, manic, suburbs. The main theme of the song is seeing the stars in the sky and no matter what suburb you're in, those stars in the sky will always be the same.

Close your eyes, be omniscient. In front of you at a distance, as if you were levitating, is a rainy skyline of New York City. The closer you get, the sharper the ant figures become. Now, as you zoom through busy streets and glorious skyscrapers, you see the city buzzing with human activity. Rain couldn't calm a city that never sleeps. You see people jumping over puddles, getting in taxis, fighting with their umbrellas, all backed by the jazzy sounds of the 30s. You find yourself near an apartment building where the outside noise is but a background, trivial compared to the heartbreak going on through the bedroom window. You peer in, witnessing a couple fighting:
Retreating from the private heartbreak, you delve back into the city, the lights and car horns once again becoming apparent. Weightlessly, you drift around, observing the rain, and stop at another location that catches your attention. Contrasting the recent sadness is this collective euphoria radiating from inside a club where dance and drink forget. You get closer, feeling the swing of things.
After an exhilarating dance, you leave the scene hearing the music fade away, eventually only a filtered bass reaching your ear before you begin touring the rainy city again, in search of more humanity. As you watch from above, you see a young couple running through the rain, with smiles on their faces. Their youth inspires you. You move closer:
After a night of experiencing the city, you fly up into the clouds and beyond the precipitation. With the Great Depression ongoing in the 30s, you're glad to see some distraction in the Big Apple on this rainy night.
Music Choice Explanation
I went about this with a Great Gatsby (modern version) approach. I didn't want to use music from the 30s but still, I wanted the music to have some connection to it. Although the three songs aren't directly influenced by the sound of the time, they are loosely connected to the days of jazz and swing. I hope I'm not the only who hears that. Well, you're basically supposed to be some entity experiencing different situations humans face in the city. From an intimate couple fight, to a club scene to young love. These are the sounds you hear, fading in and out as you see some people's lives.

We return to our hero in peril as he has been floating through space for hours now, he's sure. The clock ticks on, the chill worms its way into his bones and his chest grows tighter as he starts to gasp, his lungs clawing for the little air remaining in his suit with increasing desperation. Desperately in need of a Savior, he starts to panic. He yells, knowing that nobody can hear him here, knowing that he's wasting his little air left, knowing that his actions will be futile. He waits. That's all he can do, wait, as the cold grows stronger and the incredible surrounding blackness creeps nearer.

ZOO
While initially I intended on doing making a trinity regarding the positives and cool-things that are found at a zoo, I instead decided I am going to make a trinity about the negatives. I think Zoo's are a very hellish place and this will be my trinity to represent why.
Captivity & Neglect You Don't Care About Me - Shakira
I think this song is relevant because it represents Captivity which is a major factor in Zoo's. Animals that are not meant to be in small, unmaintained and cluttered areas are held there against their will. While Shakira in this song preaches about how her lover has her trapped in a cupid's chokehold and doesn't care about her it's reflective of how the Zoo's have these animals and are profiting off of them, yet don't love them or care about their greater good. The animals are hopeless as they are trapped in these containments much like how Shakira is trapped in this love-captivity. "Should have never helped you become so powerful." is a very relevant lyric to Zoo's as the animals are the source of income, the source of entertainment, overall the entire reason the Zoo exists yet the ones hurting the most out of it, similar to how Shakira is making her man but the one hurting in it.
In this song Spears illustrates for us a celebrity named "Lucky" how to the public eye she is the most loved person in the room, but internally Lucky is not satisifed or happy with her life. This is similar to the animals in the Zoo. They are slaves to the public, they bring people joy but loathe their lives. While the public may believe that they are well-maintained and happy, it is constantly leaking that they are quite the opposite. Many people are misinformed that the animals would have a better way of life in Zoos rather than in the wild. But who are we to play God? This is similar to the life of Lucky, the world envies her life but once achieving it you realize there is no way back out of this "luxurious life".
Not Belonging Here - Alessia Cara
This song shows Cara explain how she doesn't belong in the lifestyle she was born into. Cara, being someone raised in an Urban community she has grown up in an environment that is regarding drugs, violence and sex. Cara preaches that she wishes that wasn't the norm and that her generation could advance onto greater things. This is similar to the animals in the zoo, they were brought to the zoo against their will and while some of the animals accustom a lot of them feel like prisoners. They feel they do not belong and they aspire on where else they could be and what else they could be doing. This is relatable to Cara's dilemma as she is forced to grow up in an environment that she feels she doesn't belong to, and she has no control of this as this was where she was born and raised.

In the year 3000
By the time we hit the year 3000, we will have gone through World War III that almost left the world in a nuclear warfare. After this and the fall of the remaining communist states in Asia and the Middle East, the world finally has achieved world peace. With the counties now all working together, they set out to build these green cities to prevent the earth from continuing to get warmer. Everything from the stores, farms, factories, inner cities, suburbs, and everything else are kept within a close proximity, surrounded by this foliage to hopefully secure a safer and healthier future for this planet.
This has become one of the classics of the future. This minimalistic style of chill electronica went through a resurgence right after the war concluded and served as one of the inspirations of the buildings of these green cities. There were plenty of covers of this song made, including one famous one by 970 year old music legend and producer Blue Ivy.
There was a hippie resurgence in the 2070s during the beginning of the war that lasted hundreds of years. Florence Welch ends passed away at the age of 92 during a war protest at this time so these neo-hippies hacked into government audio boxes that have been installed on every street light to play her music and celebrate her life. This became the anthem for that generation who was wanting the war to finally end and continued to be played throughout the war into the year 3000 as their modern "Imagine" by John Lennon.
In the year of 2772, Florida was officially declared extinct by the president at the time due to the increase in water levels from global warming. This was the main incident that lead world leaders to strive and create an city like environment that would be better for the world's climate. After there was no more Florida, this song hit #1 on the BB Top Songs list due to its appropriate lyrics for the time.
Water, Sea or Ocean is the most common symbolisms that we can think of when we hear the word Atlantis. It is maybe because it was rumoured to be located in the deepest waters. As we go deeper in the trinity, we will be able to explore the different aquatic representation of the chosen Scene (Atlantis). So be ready for the underwater experience…….. LOL
Love Justin Timerlake "Blue Ocean Floor"
Never was it said that love only exist in the upper part of the world. Love is also present even to the deepest part of the ocean floor. Fishes do fall in love too and even unseen creatures tend to fall in love. Timberlake’s “Blue Ocean Floor” is a song that will definitely strengthen the wideness of love. Obviously, the song talks about love but with a little bit of a twist. It is happening UNDERWATER!!!! Isn’t it surprising? Shocking? Unbelievable? LOL no. As I’ve said earlier, love is everywhere. The production of the song is intended to be mixed with the aquatic tone which can be successfully heard throughout the song. The shifting of the harmonica like tone from down to up clearly established the blue ocean floor vibe. Literally, this song will make you fall in love especially in the deepest part of the ocean.
Mystery The Horrors "Sea Within A Sea"
Sometimes, we wonder how big the ocean is, how much time it takes to explore the overall water mass of the earth. But the most curious question that we might think of is that, What is actually at the bottom of the ocean? What are the still undiscovered creatures or scenarios located underwater? We’ll never satisfy those things without going there right? But it is nearly impossible for an average human to just dive underwater and try to swim as deep as we can. We’re going to die b**ch. Even using submarines are not enough because the ocean is too broad for us to explore in a single expedition. Sea Within A Sea embodies the mysterious aquatic aura feeling. The tone of the song is too unstable which symbolizes the mysterious noises that might be heard in the deepest of the waters. The wailing of whales, the sound produced by water body movements, and other more is clearly experienced when hearing the song. Even the lyrics will definitely add the mysterious vibe of the underwater which is also relatable for us humans.
Memories Björk "Black Lake"
Loving someone can end up in two different ways. One is the happy ending and the other one is the opposite. In Bjork’s case, unfortunately, she ended up with a broken heart. With the remorseful feeling, she earned the guts to write a song entitled “Black Lake” in order to flashback her not so well love story. In this song, she compared her pitiful self into a black lake in which she describes as dead water or a useless body of water. Caused by the sorrowful memories of her ex-lover, Bjork sang the song with a very weakening sound that builds up the loneliness of the song. It also adds effect to the watery feeling of the song. The song is like describing a used to be healthy lake turned into a poisonous one because of the poisonous sharks coming into it just like the ancient city of Atlantis. You can also dip yourself into a deadly lake and let’s see if you can resist singing ala Bjork in this song. I bet you can’t.

Hello everyone, my name is Mary Alice Crosswire, but you may know me better by Muffy. Usually I'm by far the most fashionable kid at Lakewood Elementary with limousine service and my butler Bailey. I had satellite TV with over 172 channels, smartphones that tell you all these cool things like the weather in Siberia, and I always try to follow what Capri di Vapida is doing.
But right now, I'm not. My life is not luxurious at the moment. My daddy, who owns Crosswire motors, hasn't been doing well in business and it's gotten to the point where my mansion is being foreclosed on. We can't even afford to be in a nice hotel while we get things sorted out. I can't stay with Francine, because I was such a snobby bitch the last time I was there and we know that it wouldn't work out if I stayed there long-term. And none of my other friends have room. I never thought I'd be in this position.
One way or another though, my family will bounce back from this. Even if I have to deal with curtains that are so drab that they don't match my carpets (and no, that is not a sexual reference you perverted twinks. I've seen that erotica on the web y'all have made about me. I'm only 8 years old). It doesn't matter if we have to eat vomitrocious food for awhile either. My daddy's business will bounce back and I will be on top again.

ATRL's Trinity
~*~Deep outer space~*~
Hello, let me tell you the story of Vesciu and Ayei the alien couple.
Once upon a time, on a quite boring day, the couple Vesciu and Ayei decided to go for a trip in their spaceship in hopes of seeing something interesting and cool.
They were enjoying the galaxies and the shooting stars. They even saw some of our satellites and found it amusing to mess with them a bit.
With all the fun they were having, they did not realize, that they completely lost their route and don’t know where exactly they are.
The poor sis Ayei was very worried and started panicking. Being her pessimistic self, she started to think of all the horrible things that could happen.
Vesciu on the other hand kept it cool and was looking for stars that he knows, so he could find the way back home.
All of a sudden, a HUGE lightwave was visible very far away.
Ayei, usually not adventurous, told Vesciu that he should head towards the light.
When they got closer to the light, they realized that it was actually a supernova.
Really beautiful it was. They were both just staring at it in pure shock.
They both looked each other in the eyes and Ayei says: ‚this is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen‘
Vesciu; ‚No! That’s not true‘
Ayei: ‚what do you mean?‘
Vesciu; ‚YOU are the most beautiful in the whole universe‘
Aye just blushed and smiled…
Vesciu: ‚You’re my Supernova'

I decided to conceptualize Atlantis by portraying it from three different perspectives to triangulate what I imagine the story of Atlantis to be like. Each song also contains a "watery" compositional element, within the lyrics and/or instrumentation.
I wrote our names but it got washed away
Don't leave me stranded like a castaway
I was a stone’s throw away from land
But thousands and thousands of miles away from reaching your hand
But you took your toll on me
So I gave myself over willingly
VOICE 1 - THE PEOPLE
For the people of Atlantis, a devastating consequence of sinking below the waves would be the isolation that comes with disappearing. Bouncing on Caribbean steel drums, "Castaway" reminisces on life above the water and the desire to overcome the desolation that comes with living thousands of feet below.
. VOICE 2 - THE CITY
The phrase "if these walls could talk" comes to life here, with the city of Atlantis getting to narrate its origins. From a "boat in the sea" to a sprawling underwater metropolis, stormy synths peer into a past once filled with love. But like the people it protects, it can't help but want a companion in the abyss.
. VOICE 3 - THE OCEAN
A solemn guitar line loops in circles like the waves on a beach as the Ocean recounts the day Atlantis sank. Could it be that the ocean sank the city for its own benefit? Regardless, the reality for the city is that it will remain beneath the waves' crest. It's time for its people to accept their lives under the ocean's mercy, or lack thereof.

My name is Isaak Bernstein. I am a homosexual 17 year old Jewish boy living in Germany who dreams of one day traveling to America and being able to dance on a stage.
Homosexuality in Germany was illegal and frowned upon by many so I found myself not being able to be who myself around others. I hear stories from school of pansy clubs in America where homosexuals can be themselves.
Since I was an only child and my mother and father spent most of their time at work and dealing with things that usually bored me I was usually alone most of the time. I felt different from the others, because of my sexuality.
It didn't rain much in Germany, but when it did the comfort of the it always helped me escape that loneliness.
From the sound of shutters shifting to the pitter patter sound the brick pavement made.
Dancing gaily in the rain as music played gave me an amazing feeling
A feeling of euphoria and separation from the world
The music would take over my soul
As I stepped into my own stage.
