The Jacksons is general are heavily disrespected and mocked on here and from what i've seen it's always been like that.
Add that to the fact that black artists that aren't Beyonce, Rihanna, or Nicki Minaj are also heavily underrated and disrespected on here.
And on top of that the fact that many of the kida on here have literally NO knowledge of music pre-Britney Spears, except for Madonna of course, and that's what you get.
Also some of you Madonna stans have a lot of nerve calling Janet stans out for being disrespectful when a lot of you actively disrespect almost every legend from that generation (MJ, Prince, Whitney, Mariah etc.) to build her up. It's a two way street.
Lastly whoever said thag Beyonce stans only listen to "real legends" and had the nerve not to list Janet, little boy get real. Don't group all of the beyhive in with your ignorance.

All black artist on this site are disrespected, yet most of members here cream themselves over Carly Rae Jepsen and Selena Gomez 
Janet is a legend regardless, without her there wouldn't be a Beyoncé, Britney, Tinashe, Jhene, J.LO, Chris Brown, Selena etc.

Nobody disrespects Janet except for a certain group but in most cases, she is given honor like the Legend she is

A legend is an artist who has strong sales, strong acclaim and strong influence. If you don't have all 3 of those things then you can't really be considered a full legend.

I don't know how you can stan for a black female artist and drag Janet she paved the way for our faves!!!! It's one thing to be ignorant about her career but a whole other thing to be flat-out disrespectful. When I dived into her discography and learned about all that she did, I understood why Janet is so loved

Just an aside -
Janet made the ballot for the Hall of Fame last year.
Something Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Barbra, Dolly, Cher, Tina and Diana (as solo artists), and multiple other 'legends' have failed to accomplish.
The HoF is notoriously sexist, which explains her absence. But she was one of two women to even list in 2015 - which not everyone could do.
So, for that random nameless faceless poster who "threw" 'shade" on the first page (I think Hivy, but he/she/it is not important enough to be verified!), like .. come correct?

There are only a handful of legends alive today and Janet is not one of them.

Your definition is warped. You literally just made one up yourself.
David Bowie is absolutely a legend and only on ATRL would this be argued. Being a legend is all about standing the test of time and being respected. And if some children/teens aren't aware of some legend, then that doesn't mean anything, they'll probably hear about them sooner or later.
I love Beyoncé, but she is not a bigger legend then David Bowie or Cher. We don't even know how respected/influential she'll be in 20 years. (I predict she will be a legend though)
