Don't let these JJ stans fool you into thinking otherwise, just because according to them Madonna is not popular in... Africa
|
Which is why MJ, Prince, Whitney, Mariah and Janet will always win. I wish I could say the same for your fav.

And can we stop adding African countries to the whole global thing? They just don't matter that much sales wise, plus they have bigger problems to worry about Seriously no one cares if Janet sold more than Madonna in BoogaBoogaLand.
|
There is no such country in Africa called BoogaBoogaLand. You have the energy and the capability to come on a forum and post such ignorance, yet choose not to direct either towards Google.
And you cannot exclude an entire continent from the global talk, seeing as how it's...ON the globe.

For the record, Madonna has been referenced and her image has been used in documentaries shot in Africa, plus she is the most liked singer in Malawi, you know, an African country

People reference unknown things in documentaries all the time. The whole point of documentaries is to EDUCATE.
"She is the most liked singer in Malawi"- LOL. LMAO. Tony Bird laughs at you. Lucius Band ridicules you. Evison Matafale shakes his head at you. Tigris ignores you.

it's always them
Kinda funny how it always ends up like this, some JJ stans trying to make #AfricanSalesMatter happen. It's NEVER going to happen. Do they even have an official chart there? Official certifications?
The best selling female WW and one of the most acclaimed artists in music history is not botheredT that Janet Jackson or Celine Dion sold 10k of their last abloom in Nigeria or whatever.
The sooner you all let this sink in, the better.
Even though I think they're just trolling at this point. Reeks of desperation tbh! It's almost sad! Poor Queen of pop, people in Africa are not bopping to Bitch Im Madonna. Poor her.

One is Rebel Heart, the other Unbreakable. Take a guess which is which.
Again, I adore Janet. But let's get the facts straight!

Hihi, caught you before the edit sis! You're still getting that WP.
Well well, look what we have here. The talent police. What makes you qualified to say such thing? Or you're just saying that because her enormous talent isn't recognized by your continent?
For being someone trying to use the term global so accordingly, your limitations to Africa's POV is quite desperate/contradictory. Truly a kii.

Unfortunately for you, no one ever claimed those artists were global, unlike you did with Madonna.
As for your attempt to be "witty"....well....practice makes progress. Keep trying.

What does any of this prove?

No she hasn't. Madonna is in the 34th year of her career (1982 to 2016).
MJ: 1969 to 2009 = 40 years
Prince: 1978 to 2016 = 38 years
Janet: 1973 to 2016 = 43 years
Celine Dion: 1981 to 2016 = 35 years
The only peers Madonna outlasted are Whitney and Mariah, and only because they debuted after her.
|
Like.....even in Madonna's continued success, she still hasn't outlasted her peers.

Because you stated certain ppl in this thread should go outside and get some air. Why do that when I can just open the window and get the same result?

Coming from the person who had the nerve to tweet #AfricanSalesMatter, I'm not worried.

No, it's because she's not talented.
This is why it's important to grasp a concept before you speak on it. My stance on Madonna not being global because of her lack of popularity in Africa is not the same as thinking that Africa is the center of globalness. If she is known on every continent on the planet BUT one (which happens to be the 2nd biggest), then she isn't global. The same would go for ANY OTHER person. If Whitney was known on every continent but one, she wouldn't truly be global. Same for Mariah. Same for Janet. Same for MJ and Prince. Unfortunately for you, they are. That's not my fault. Redirect your upset and hurt to the right person.
