Anyway, I have no problems with what other countries' doing to Banh Mi or Sushi. Actually, I'm quite glad that my hometowns' food make it out there in the world and get popular and leave such impacT
I also believe she should talk more about serious problems going on in this world rather than "food appropriation"
Appreciating food from other cultures is NOT cultural appropriation and I say this as a Moroccan, God knows how manu restaurants serve our dishes abroad but it's completly fine. Lena spends too luch time on tumblr, why is she still relevant, didn't she MOLEST her sister ? UGH.
I'm a fan of maintaining cultural sensitivity but Jesus at some point you just gotta let people live. Clearly it's not authentic but it's not like college dining halls are advertising that **** as imported straight from Japan.
I usually support this bitch cause I love Girls, but **** thats a stupid mentality. If its made by Japanese/Korean people then how is it appropriation? Even if not, its a food. Everyone all over the world eats all types of cuisines.
I love Girls but sis come on... My college dining hall served food from all around the world... The whole point is that we had many international students. Shouldn't it be seen as a good thing to have diverse options of food and not just "American"? What even is "American" food anyway? Should we just eat hotdogs all day?
