I do love it but it kinda still sounds like a remix? The vocals sound weird, like maybe something is just off with the mixing but the production seems a little too loud too. Maybe it'll grow on me although I didn't listen to the remix that many times.

Yeah, pretty much this. Quality always seems to be incredibly noticeable through spotify, so whether it's actually lower than 128 it wouldn't surprise me...
