She said it perfectly, gay clubs are a safe place for LGBT people to gather and express themselves and the fact that dozens were massacred in their own home is so disheartening. Thank you for your words Britney

Even so, Gay Bars don't just feature gay people. Women and even straight men go to.

But gay people were specifically targeted. The straight people who happened to be at the bar were just incidental to the killer. That's why he went to a gay bar.

And moreover, the shooting was an attack on the LGBTQ+ community above all else. It was designed to terrorize our community and serve as a reminder that we can never be completely open about who we are without running some risk that we'll be killed for it. Britney, as a cis straight woman, can never experience that fear. She's not a victim here.
