I thought I heard someone make a statement last July that her album was going to show growth. Because of all her songs STILL sound the same and are about the same thing. People can't say she is a good songwriter when she writes lyrics like that

If you haven't heard the whole song, you can't really judge it off of 4 lines.

And many, many people love her new material. Just because it is not the kind of thing that you personally enjoy, does not make it bad music. There are many artists that I do not care for but I can recognise that to have the degree of success that they do, they must be talented because quite simply not just anybody can make it in this industry. Seeing as Taylor is one of the biggest artists of the last 2 years, I think in fact she is a good songwriter and she is talented. Your opinion does not govern the opinion of others, or the facts themselves.

I was only judging those four lines and I listened to the preview shortly after that and I'm not feeling it...

Don't get me wrong. I have respect for Taylor, with how successful she is she has managed to stay so grounded. I love Love Story and Fifteen but I'm just not getting into any of her music. I feel as if it isn't maturing and isn't the same. It may seem I am just trying to decree in my last post but that was my way of expressing my opinion. I said in another post that I believe that she has potential. And if you say you don't judge a song by four lines then don't judge a user by a few posts and you showed you already did in the psychological portrait thread.
That post is somewhere in this thread. I have tried to get into Taylor, I just can't.

I haven't judged you as a user, I know you post well sometimes. I simply will not draw up a portrait just after you said something that in my opinion was a bit ignorant, I have no over-all problem with you, I just have a problem with that post.

Uhh....fearless WAS better than I am Sasha Fierce. Your acting like the album was praised, it didnt have good reviews at all, and I was surprised that it was even nominated.

I Am is full of fillers.
The reason it can sell that much and be nominated is the choreography in Single Ladies which is not a good song.
