This is Lady Gaga. You know, the woman who has for the past four years did everything in her power to defy societal beauty standards. The woman who plastered horns on her face, sported blue armpit hair, and walks around with her pancake titties out for the world to see. She is not trying to be sexual, she is being satirical. The song and video are both part of a bigger performance, everything she does is part of a bigger performance. Let the damn woman have some fun and stop trying so hard to degrade her. I don't see you guys being comfortable enough with yourselves to roll around half naked in some cake.
The haters will read this and dismiss this as over-pensive/ideological rubbish. They will continue to be mad of course.
Says a lot about how influential she must be when people could delude themselves into thinking her video could actually detract attention away from the AMAs.
I must admit on one note that there's something off-putting and it's kind of embarrassing to watch. It attracts attention though, and she's really good at that. The song is amazing still and I'm bopping.
