Have you listened to her album? You can't really only judge "Video Games", if that's the case. Or even only "Born To Die" for that matter. Her songs can only be deemed "non-radio friendly" because of the influx of uptempo/dance songs in comparison. But her album hosts several songs with digestible choruses/melodies. They just have to be given the chance, which won't happen easily with LMFAO/Katy being the preferred choices.
I would've loved that, as who knows if she'll be able to achieve a No. 1 album. The most I can hope for now is Gold.
IMO videogames, BTF, DP>>>>>> the rest of the album. They're the ones that actually could've gotten some airplay tbh. Carmen and BJ? No not really. Interscope really messed it up in the US tbh.

That very well may be the Quick-Cut audience for GMAYL- it's 10.75m between Pop and Hot AC. Toss in a little rhythmic and there ya go. However, two days ago, the Quick-Cut info was 15.86m. So, the two-day loss would be 3.138m.
Nonetheless, the track is on its way out- it will log 5-6 weeks on the pop chart, which is similar to "American Life's" run. But, GMAYL is more catchy and fun than that track and managed a top 10 peak (when AL couldn't get close to that in a far less competitive Hot 100 era, when few tracks on the Hot 100 had notable sales points). Plus, it was M playfully telling all the wanna-bes that she was the reigning Queen- the Madonna-centric quality of the track probably didn't inspire much love from the general crowd.
