Yikes! Not crying or blaming black people. Today is great! It's just something that today brought to my attention, seeing so many people unify to show a beauty that has been pushed down by society.

It just kind of triggered race issues i've had growing up, but the discussion has always been about whites and blacks, even Asians more so than Latinos. We're not a topic unless the white man is bitching about immigration. And hardly ever a topic of desire.



If anything though, hopefully today can bring some kind of general awareness to the beautiful skins of the human race who aren't white, and everyone can benefit from it.

I feel like since latinos dont have such a large difference in physical appearance in comparison to black ppl vs white it kind of gets the back burner. And the racial issues arent as in your face as they are with the AA community (Racial profiling against black people being a much more "in your face issue" than say, immigration policy or unfair wages for said latino immigrants. Theres also the language barrier. All in all two very different situations which is neither here nor there, this isnt the thread.

Uh no, Latinos are NOT white and do have specific genetic facial and body traits. And the racial issues aren't in your face because no one CARES, which is what I was saying. It's extremely hard to get jobs, let alone interviews, if you have a spanish name. And latinos are as well racially profiled by law enforcement. Language barrier isn't an excuse for "two very different situations." This is why Latinos get the back burner, mindsets like that.

There is no "different situations" when it comes to a core of racial prejudice by the white man.
