mediatraffic is not reliable at all. It doesn't even track sales, it provides a singles chart list based on weighted points. still nobody knows how they weight sales/streaming/radio-airplay. It seems like they ignore most countries, for example South Korea where Mariah usually sells tons of downloads.

Mess, why are there no WW sales in the OP?
Anyways, these are the estimates I found [X], I think they're very accurate and definitely confirm at least 150M albums for Mariah.
In order of release:
Mariah Carey — 13.500.000
Emotions — 9.000.000
MTV Unplugged — 7.000.000
Music Box — 26.000.000
Merry Christmas — 13.000.000
Daydream — 21.500.000
Butterfly — 10.500.000
#1's — 15.500.000
Rainbow — 9.000.000
Glitter — 2.500.000
Greatest Hits — 3.000.000
Charmbracelet — 3.500.000
The Remixes — 500.000
The Emancipation of Mimi — 9.000.000
E=MC2 — 2.500.000 (my estimate, they have it at 2.055.020, but 2.5M seems more accurate)
The Ballads — 600.000 (my estimate, they have it at 537.000, once again, .6M seems more accurate)
TOTAL: 146,700,000 albums.
They stopped tracking in February 2010, Memoirs was at 752.000. I'll estimate to ~1.3M.
Then there's Merry Christmas II You, I suppose that one did 1M WW at least? And then MIAM did around 200K, yes?
So...
Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel — 1.300.000
Merry Christmas II You — 1.000.000
Me... I Am Mariah: The Elusive Chanteuse — 200.000
Total: 2,500,000 albums.
146.7M + 2.5M = 149.2M albums sold. Definitely 150M when accounting for other releases I didn't include + catalog sales.
Just wanna say that Mariah had an amazing 2 decades. Even in the 'flop' year that was 2001, she sold 5.5M albums, then 3M in 2002. Then obviously 2005 - 06 were set with Emancipation, 2008 she sold another 3M albums with studio album + greatest hits, and another ~2M albums more with Memoirs and Merry Christmas. That's around 27.5M albums, but that can definitely be rounded to 30M units for the 2000's (especially if Emancipation sold 12M instead of the 9M figure I used, which is possible, I just like to be conservative).

I don't **** with WW, because it's estimations. Estimations aren't receipts imho. But I'll add those, because they look good for the most part.
Although I don't think Memoirs did 1.3M, more like 1.1M @ most. I'd round Elusive Chanteuse up to 250K. Kworb stated it did around 300K shipments @ one point, and it sold 120K in US alone.
I'll probs work on this more this weekend since I'll be bored, and add lots of stats from other countries.

The #'s for those albums are up to your discretion. I think the 300K receipt for MIAM is fine, too. Any word on her single sales (WW)?

i am still mad that the song wasnt promoted outside of the United States.. it could have been a top 10 single in the UK. It wasn't even allowed to chart in Germany, much like Obsessed and IWTKWLI both of which had been label suppressed at the time.
