Not even the most complete female artist, but the most complete artist of all time?
Look, she's above average in her talent, but she is still lacking as an artist. She's so one-dimensional & extremely predictable.
Only as an entertainer does she excel.
The problem here is that ATRL loves to crown only one person as being accomplished. It's THE most, THE only, THE #1 all the time.
But clearly there can be no one artist that can appeal to every person, who can play every instrument, who can do every part of the creative process, etc.
What we should be doing is just discussing complete artists. The shade can come when someone mentions one who is incomplete, but we shouldn't be shading someone who is a complete artist just because you like Michael Jackson or P!nk or whomever else.
You must be kidding. It's EASILY Prince. He plays over 20 instruments, writes and composes all his music, has covered most genres, wrote, directed and acted in his own musical film, can dance, can sing amazingly. I don't think people see him as beautiful but he can be pretty handsome and has a charm about him.

In what way is Beyonce mediocre? I know the BeyHive can talk her up but I don't think the Super Bowl asks mediocre artists to perform at it. No offence to Avril but I can't see her headlining it anytime soon.
You don't have to teach me, I think her voice is amazing. But her voice gets weaker while performing songs like Hips Don't Lie (one of my favorite songs all time from a pop girl), watch this VMA performance.

No, because she lacks songwriting skills and a diverse catalog. Michael Jackson, Madonna, Gwen Stefani, Britney Spears, Legend X, Alicia Keys, and Rihanna are more complete artists.
