What does that even prove or suggest? Incubating can suggest something other than an egg - when infants are put into incubation, you would be more prone to call the object a vessel than you would an egg. It's semantics and nothing more
She could have called it an egg when she helped in the creative process and he could have been adamant about calling it a vessel.
